Description: The ICU has a total of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Support staff is available, including technicians for the unit. The unit is equipped with GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis med dispensing systems, and Dräger vents. Documentation is done using Meditech. Staffing requires availability for every other weekend. Floating is required in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers. Patient experience requirements include AIDET, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching. The trauma certification level for the facility is Trauma III. Procedures performed include trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion. Dress code is charcoal gray scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines are provided upon request. This unit offers a collaborative environment, advanced technology, and opportunities to enhance skills.
