Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day pharmacy functions in a 300-bed regional inpatient medical center. This role reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy and serves as a key leader ensuring efficient pharmacy operations and excellent service delivery.

Location: Oxnard, CA
Setting: Inpatient, 300-bed regional medical center
Position Type: Temp-to-hire, with flexibility on start date

Key Responsibilities

Act as the right hand to the Director of Pharmacy, supporting pharmacy leadership in operational management
Oversee daily pharmacy activities including staff scheduling and workload management
Address operational challenges and issues promptly to maintain seamless pharmacy workflow
Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other departments to ensure high-quality patient care
Utilize Cerner pharmacy information systems for efficient operations

Desired Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in pharmacy management, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams
Operational expertise in pharmacy workflows and staff scheduling
Ability to handle issues proactively and efficiently
Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems is a plus
