About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Dallas, Texas, 75243!

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: Must-Have: ACLS, BLS, Medsurg Description: The unit is a post-surgical unit with a heavy mid-week volume. Candidates must be able to work the shifts required. Excessive requests for time off will not be approved or considered. The unit has 22 beds and 36 staff members. Staffing varies by census for both day and night shifts. Patient ratios are 1:5 with ancillary support. Equipment used includes PCA pumps, ice machines, vital sign machines, tele boxes, and IV pumps. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. There is no on-call requirement. Floating may occur often within the system and occasionally to other locations. Candidates with orthopedic experience and PCU experience are preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include Tarlov/meningeal cyst removal, joint reconstruction, hip and knee surgery, and lumbar and cervical disc surgery. Best personality fit includes being energetic and a team player. Unit policies and guidelines are available upon request.
