Machine ProgrammerDPP is seeking a Machine Programmer for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace industry. Work location: Onsite in Huntsville, AL Duration: 4 months Terms: W2 contractJob description:As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for the development and modification of NC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines supporting various spaceflight systems.You will contribute to all aspects of producing accurate programs and setup sheets, enabling first article success on tight-tolerance, high-value parts.You will play a role in the broader mission of human spaceflight and are expected to bring dedicated commitment and close attention to detail in support of safe and repeatable operations.The ideal candidate is someone who will apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our client's mission and vision is required.Responsibilities:Create NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis mills, multi-axis lathes, and VTLs to ensure engineering requirements are metDevelop machining strategies to translate design data into machined hardwareDevelop and manage setup sheetsCollaborate with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinistsDesign custom tools and fixtures as neededProvide DFM/DFMA feedbackDrive process improvements in both machining operations and administrative workflowsConduct product acceptance in accordance with company policyMaintain configuration control on files and job recordsWork safely within an industrial environmentMinimum qualifications:Siemens NX / UnigraphicsVericut or equivalent program verification softwareMinimum 5 years of NC programming experienceStrong blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994Experience with tool and fixture designSetup sheet creation and managementCutter selection and custom cutter design as neededFeed and speed calculationsExperience machining Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloysFamiliarity with DFMA principlesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with precision hand tools and personal computersSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlinesAbility to build trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive cultureMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred qualifications:Mastercam 2017 or higher is a plusMachinist experienceAuthorized US Worker - US Citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.
