This role will report to Manufacturing Trainer and is based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role 4 days a week.Role and Responsibilities:Conduct Assembly Skills training for manufacturing team membersIdentify and implement continuous improvement ideas for the skills training centerIdentify future skills training needs and work with the team to develop new training courses for skills training centerMaintain skills matrix and training records for team members (training document control)Work with the production team to develop cross-training plans for manufacturing team members and support additional skills training as neededCoordinate on-the-job training for new process training (new hire or cross-training)Conduct training audits monthlyWork with production team to create and conduct on-the-floor lean trainingsSupport Lean Training curriculumOther duties as assignedSkills and Experience:2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or operations/materials management role1+ years of experience in On-the-Job training using the JIT (Job Instruction Training) methodologyStrong organization skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrentlyAbility to collaborate cross functionally to complete initiativesStrong verbal, listening, presentation and written communications skillsProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and in person training experience preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shiftNavigate the facility throughout the dayOccasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shiftVisual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materialsHearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staffAbility to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodationDemonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floorBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
