Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts will be rotating between night and evening, specifically from 19:00 to 07:30 or 15:00 to 03:30. Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled.

Job Description: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse plays a critical role in the management and coordination of care for patients across all age ranges. This fast-paced ED setting requires a nurse who is adept in handling complex diagnoses while providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with varying medical conditions.
• Maintain patient safety and emergency care protocols.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Perform triage assessments for incoming patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective care delivery.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current Maryland RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.
• CPI certification required prior to starting; the Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable vendor.
• NRP and TNCC certifications preferred.
