Physician- Correctional Health Clinic, 12-HR Day (25k retention Bonus)

Job Number: 176447, Job Title: Physician – Correctional Health 12‑hr/Night 6 pm ‑ 6 am (25k Retention Bonus), Salary: $307,215.00 – $391,498.00 Job Summary: Work in a challenging but rewarding environment with a mission‑oriented team. Provide high‑quality care to residents of the Harris County Jail, including intake health assessments, urgent care, chronic disease management, and collaboration with advanced practice practitioners, nursing staff, and on‑site allied services. Coordinate with Harris County Sheriff Office deputies and Harris Health Transfer Center or other local hospitals for higher level care. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (or equivalent) – Board Certified or board‑eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine. Must obtain board certification before eligibility expires and maintain certification throughout employment. Valid Texas Medical Board license (M.D. or D.O.) and registration as a physician in the State of Texas. Active DEA license. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited 3‑year or 4‑year residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine. Above‑average verbal communication with heavy public contact; excellent public speaking; strong written correspondence and reporting skills. Proficiencies in computer use, suturing, splinting, and EKG interpretation. Analytical abilities, mathematics, medical terminology knowledge, and research knowledge and abilities. Flexible work schedule with holiday consideration. Reports To: Medical Director Employees Supervised: No supervisory responsibilities Leave Policy: Request for leave must be submitted 60 days in advance.
