Your future success starts here! SummaryThe detailer is responsible for ensuring that new and used equipment is presentable and ready to be delivered to our customers. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Clean, wash, and detail choppers, tractors, and other agricultural or construction equipment. Pressure wash and degrease equipment to remove mud, grease, crop residue, and debris. Clean and detail equipment interiors, cabs, windows, seats, floors, and controls. Prepare new, used, and trade-in equipment for customer delivery and resale. Assist service technicians with equipment cleaning before and after repairs. Inspect equipment during cleaning and report damage or missing components. Operate pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, and other detailing equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe wash bay and work area. Maintain detailing supplies and properly handle cleaning chemicals. Safely move equipment around the dealership and assist with general lot maintenance. · Assists with other duties in the shop as requested. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct reports. Required Education and/or Experience None Preferred Education and/or Experience Up to 1 year of related experience Qualifications All Service Motor Company employees are expected to have a friendly, positive attitude, a sense of urgency, and the ability to multi-task and solve problems. The following qualifications are required for this position. · Organizational skills. · Computer skills. · Time management skills. · Ability to see, with or without the use of vision aid devices. · Ability to communicate in writing in the English language. · Ability to operate heavy equipment and a forklift/powered industrial truck. Work Environment This position works in a shop environment with regular variations in light, sound, and temperature levels. There is routinely exposure to dust, other airborne particles, fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. This position routinely uses standard shop equipment such as hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialty tools, and routinely operates heavy equipment. This position also occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and file cabinets. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position requires an employee to frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires an employee to occasionally sit, kneel, crawl, lay, climb, balance, bend, twist, and lift over 50 pounds.
