Location: Ohio – Cleveland, Toledo, Northern Columbus

As an Audit Manager on our Government Services team , you’ll work with organizations that shape communities—state agencies, municipalities, school districts, public universities, and more. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex engagements while serving as a trusted advisor and team leader in a highly visible, mission-driven space.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple audit engagements from planning through delivery.
• Review workpapers, oversee audit procedures, and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to government and public-sector clients.
• Manage client relationships and act as a liaison between clients and internal teams.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and support practice growth.

Leadership & Team Development

• Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Manage workloads and foster a collaborative, accountable team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 6+ years of audit experience.
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with government or public-sector clients preferred.
• Familiarity with GASB standards and CPA certification preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
