Engineer I, Operations Support Engineer

Operations Support Engineer role within the Bioproduction and Purification Process Analytics division at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Bedford, MA facility. Responsible for manufacturing support, quality assurance, and process optimization in chromatography media production.

Responsibilities

• Address manufacturing problems, propose countermeasures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Execute manufacturing protocols accurately with minimal supervision and manage specialized equipment
• Revise standard operating procedures to enhance processes and minimize deviations
• Provide technical training and leadership within specialized manufacturing areas

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science field (Chemical Engineering preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience in chemical, operations, manufacturing, or regulated environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with proven problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with SAP or similar inventory control systems desired
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
