Job Summary Per Diem, Days. The role involves obtaining and accounting for paper records daily, preparing the records, scanning and indexing them into the HPF (Horizon Patient Folder) system, and maintaining scanning equipment. Responsibilities include analyzing records for completeness, distributing transcribed documents to nursing units, completing Florida Birth Certificates, and performing other clerical and general office tasks such as retrieving electronic records for authorized requestors. Availability to work some weekend days to support coding operations is required. Qualifications High School education or equivalent. Prefer previous Health Information Management (HIM) Department experience. Physical Requirements Frequently required to lift 5-40 pounds. Occasionally may lift greater than 40 pounds with assistance of a staff member and/or an approved lifting device. Frequently required to operate standard office machines, computers, and telephones. Frequently required to walk, bend, push, and pull. Required to have effective vision and hearing.
