Overview The Senior Robotics & Controls Engineer will join our Robotics & Controls team. We are a group of highly motivated roboticists working on the algorithms that lie at the heart of the system. We are responsible for classic areas of robotics such as the kinematic workspace analysis, arm motion generation, admittance algorithms, dynamic response, etc. We are also developing how the robot platform interacts with the medical instruments, collaborating closely with the mechanical development of the flexible and rigid medical instruments. Furthermore, we work on the physician / robot interaction schemes and drive modes, helping make the system easy to drive all while optimizing performance. We are seeking an individual that is at ease with taking on both software and hardware tasks. The individual should be able to quickly develop a systems level understanding that guides decisions moving forward. You should have hands-on experimental skills alongside an insatiable curiosity for understanding the inner workings of the entire system.
