Rehab Tech

Job Description Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a PRN Rehab Tech to join our team! Assists in preparing patients for treatment under the supervision of Physical and Occupational Therapists or Assistants, Speech Pathologists and Audiologists, and other clinic staff. Performs routine tasks and assists therapists during patient treatment activities as directed. PRN: 830-5, minimum work requirement is 5 shifts in 8 weeks - 2 weekend shifts, 1 weekday shift, 2 other shifts Participates in lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients and/or equipment Participates in ADLs specifically dressing and grooming as assigned by clinical staff Assists with supervised feeding programs Uses professional judgement to always ensure safety to self, patients, and others Transport patients to and from the Rehab Department Environmental cleaning Taking inventory, ordering and stocking supplies Issues DME under the direction of the therapist Performs set up and cleanup of treatment area including appropriate equipment and supplies May be involved in mentoring, training of new technician staff members Performs all other duties as requested by the manager May be involved with clerical and computer skills Performs patient blood pressure readings during treatment under the guidance of clinical staff Job Requirements Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross Job Details PRN Day (United States of America) Saint Luke’s Health System includes 18 hospitals and campuses across the Kansas City region, home care and hospice, behavioral health care, dozens of physician practices, a life care senior living community, and more.
