Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, sterile technique, and operating room safety
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and patient safety skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing support in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Prepare the operating room for complex cardiovascular procedures and maintain a safe, sterile environment
- Assist surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team throughout procedures
- Monitor patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Document care accurately and communicate important clinical updates to the care team
- Promote high standards of patient care, safety, and teamwork throughout the surgical experience
