Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required. Call shifts 2 times per scheduled period.

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. Critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership are essential in planning for the safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an L&D Registered Nurse.
• Active AR or multistate RN license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Postpartum experience preferred.
