Emergency Room Veterinarian – Nights Salary: $110,000 - $175,000 per year We are seeking a talented and passionate Emergency Room Veterinarian to join our dynamic healthcare team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to practice high-quality emergency medicine on a variety of animal patients. As an ER Veterinarian, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients. This position requires a commitment to an exceptional level of patient care and client service, an ability to make quick and accurate decisions, and a capacity to handle the fast‑paced and high‑stress environment of an emergency room. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled and experienced veterinary professionals, all dedicated to providing the best possible care for our patients. Responsibilities Providing immediate care to emergency patients, including initial examination, diagnostic testing, and treatment. Performing emergency surgeries as necessary. Collaborating with other veterinary professionals to ensure the highest quality of care. Communicating effectively with pet owners about the condition of their pets, the treatment options available, and the potential outcomes. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and emergency care. Providing compassionate care to all patients and their owners. Participating in continuing education programs to enhance your professional skills and knowledge. Qualifications A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with significant experience in emergency medicine. Board certification in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) or completion of a residency in ECC is highly desirable. A current license to practice veterinary medicine. Excellent surgical skills, with experience in emergency surgery. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatments to pet owners. A strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure. A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
