Assistant Controller

CV Resources is partnering with a publicly traded company in Seattle to identify an Assistant Controller. This is a senior accounting leadership role responsible for supporting the Corporate Controller in overseeing financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. The position plays a key role in enhancing accounting processes, coordinating audit activities, and leading core close and reporting functions within a fast-moving, global organization. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Corporate Controller to manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adequate operational coverage Oversee and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles Evaluate financial results through detailed review procedures, including account analysis and reconciliations Lead initiatives to improve accounting processes across domestic and international operations, with emphasis on SOX compliance and control effectiveness Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks in alignment with SOX 404 requirements Act as a key liaison with external auditors and coordinate support for interim reviews and year-end audit procedures Proactively surface accounting or process issues and develop practical, scalable resolutions Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial analysis that supports operational and strategic decisions Assist with technical accounting research and the preparation of formal accounting position documentation Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, ideally including public company or multinational exposure Background in public accounting audit strongly preferred Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control environments (SOX) Demonstrated leadership experience managing projects or accounting teams Comfortable operating in a high-volume, fast-changing environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Strong Excel capabilities; familiarity with major ERP platforms (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) preferred Base salary range: $150,000 – $200,000 depending on experience and qualifications Eligible for annual bonus and equity participation Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with employer match This role is well-suited for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys improving processes, collaborating across departments, and playing a central role in financial reporting excellence within a dynamic organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr CV Resources
