Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. The unit has 16 beds and operates with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. As a part of our collaborative care team, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and manage invasive lines including Swan Ganz, arterial lines, and chest tubes.
• Provide nursing care for patients on ventilators and manage CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) when required.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as GE monitors and Impella devices effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in adult ICU settings such as CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any Critical Care specialty.
• Experience with ventilator management, central lines, and chest tube care.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• BSN degree is preferred.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus.
