Shipping/Receiving Clerk (HAZMAT Low)

Full Time Fort Bragg, NC, US The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with coordinating the inspection and shipment of military vehicles, containers and equipment off the installation. This position may coordinate the activities of other workers or agents engaged in inspecting equipment to be shipped or being received for inspection and shipment. Shipping/Receiving Clerk works under direct supervision of the Lead/Supervisor. General Duties and Responsibilities Assist customers as required. Coordinate inspection of vehicles, containers and equipment with customers. Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Act as a Safety Officer throughout the entire operation. Maintain accountability of vehicles, containers and equipment by tracking reports. Brief customers on process for inspections. Coordinate with other agencies as required. Minimum Qualifications CAC required. Ability to attend, graduate and retain AMMO 62 (HAZMAT) certification. Valid Driver's License. GSA Driver’s License. High School/GED Diploma One (1) year of documented experience in the Transportation and/or Logistical field. Knowledge of DoD and DA Regulations as they pertain to Transportation and Deployment. Experience with recognition and identifying military equipment. Ability to recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers. Knowledge of policies, processes, and systems pertaining to Transportation Services and Storage of vehicles as it pertains to the DoD and/or Department of the Army (DA). Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and SharePoint. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact at all levels. Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Perform other duties as required that will involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays. Perform work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, working in confined spaces and at heights while standing for long periods of time. The ability to read and write the English language sufficiently to understand written instructions. Able to move throughout assigned areas, as the work is performed out-of-doors, year-round on uneven ground with prolonged walking or standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching on a daily basis.
