This role involves mechanical system design, BIM development, construction documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.This position is well suited for a mid career engineer looking to advance technical expertise and take on increased project responsibility within a growing MEP engineering practice.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMechanical System DesignDesign HVAC and plumbing systems for residential and light commercial buildingsPerform heating and cooling load calculations and engineering analysesSelect and size mechanical equipment including heat pumps, air handlers, rooftop units, boilers, and pumpsDesign air distribution systems including duct sizing, airflow, and static pressure calculationsDesign plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary drainage, and vent systemsRevit MEP and BIM ModelingDevelop and maintain Revit MEP models for HVAC and plumbing systemsCreate coordinated BIM layouts for ductwork, piping, and equipmentGenerate construction documents and detailed mechanical drawings from Revit modelsSupport internal BIM standards and Revit family developmentBIM and Project CoordinationCoordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, and electrical teamsIdentify and resolve clashes and coordination issues within BIM modelsParticipate in interdisciplinary coordination and project meetingsEngineering and Construction SupportPerform engineering calculations using industry tools such as Carrier HAP and WrightsoftApply applicable codes and standards including ASHRAEReview contractor submittals and shop drawingsRespond to RFIs and provide technical support throughout constructionREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States5 to 8 years of mechanical engineering experience in building systemsStrong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEPExperience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for residential or commercial buildingsWillingness to obtain additional state licensure through comity as requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPE license in Texas or ability to obtain Texas licensure quicklyExperience with residential, multi family, or mixed use developmentsFamiliarity with Navisworks or BIM coordination toolsBackground in a consulting engineering environmentKEY SKILLSHVAC system designMechanical engineering analysisRevit MEP and BIM coordinationConstruction documentationCross disciplinary collaborationBENEFITSCompany paid medical and dental insuranceHealth Savings AccountVision coverageCompany paid life and disability insuranceVoluntary life, accident, and critical illness coveragePet and car insurance options401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off and holidaysTuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee discount programsIf you are a Mechanical Engineer with a PE License or willing to obtain a PE License in the state of Texas and have the required qualifications please emial your resume to: View email address on click.appcast.io
