You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision.The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - its about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas - 100% touch freight.Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) fortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.QualificationsRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.Minimum6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR3-months commercial driving experience in the foodand/or beverage delivery industryrequired.Ability tooperatemanual transmission preferred; may berequiredin specific locations.Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.About US FOODS?Click here to learn more!*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation. The expected base rate for this role is between $22.53 and $39.49.As applicable, this role may also receive: overtime compensation, retention bonus, component pay (i.e., based on cases, mileage, stops).
