Founding Full Stack Engineer

We're seeking a Founding Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale an AI-powered SaaS platform that automates complex business workflows for enterprise customers. This is an opportunity to join an early-stage startup as one of the first engineering hires, taking ownership of the product from concept to production. You'll work directly with leadership, solve real customer problems, and build mission-critical software that integrates with external business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Own customer-facing features from ideation through production deployment.
• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build secure, auditable data models and event-driven workflows.
• Develop real-time dashboards and customer-facing applications.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms, ERP systems, logistics providers, and external business applications.
• Design resilient synchronization systems to keep multiple platforms in sync.
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, observability, alerting, and operational best practices.
• Work across the full technology stack, including backend, frontend, APIs, and data engineering.
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand business workflows and translate requirements into software solutions.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid experience designing applications with PostgreSQL.
• Full Stack development experience using React.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with:
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Webhooks
  • Asynchronous processing
  • Third-party system integrations

Ownership & Execution

• Ability to independently take projects from concept to production.
• Comfortable working with minimal direction in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
• Passion for building highly reliable, production-grade software.
• Willingness to take ownership and support critical production systems when needed.

Communication

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset with a low-ego, team-first attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an early engineering hire or founding engineer at a startup.
• Background in B2B SaaS or industries such as logistics, supply chain, freight, or consumer products.
• Experience with EDI platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar).
• Experience working at logistics or supply chain technology companies.
• Familiarity with modern technologies such as:
  • Next.js
  • Supabase
  • AI Agents
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Agentic AI workflows
