Currently, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our Residential Lending team as: Senior Mortgage Closer This opportunity may be perfect for you if you have experience in: Strong Mathematical, Business Writing, & Analytical Aptitude Passionate about helping community members achieve their homeownership dreams About this position: Responsible for coordinating, organizing, and preparing residential loan files for closings. Works closely with external attorneys, bank staff, borrowers, investors, insurers, and others to ensure timely and quality customer service. Supporting Mortgage Closing/Post Closing Manager with training and a focus on supporting the efficient and regulatory compliant closing of residential loan applications. Essential Job Functions: Prepare, maintain, and distribute closing documentation and regulatory disclosures to department personnel and/or residential closing attorneys meeting regulatory requirements. Perform attorney outreach and provide pipeline report to facilitate scheduling of loan closings in efficient and timely manner. Manage assigned loan closing pipeline, coordinate mortgage closing activity with department personnel and residential closing attorneys; communicate and/or respond to file inquiries, deficiencies, and expired documentation. Review Flood and Hazard Insurance documentation for adequacy and obtain approval from management as applicable. Process loan funding in accordance with policy and procedures. Activate PMI Insurance upon loan closing. Assist with post-closing documentation correction and communication to borrower when necessary. Collaborate with department management and colleagues to complete projects/assignments as needed. Train new or inexperienced Mortgage Closers. Provide guidance and support to the Closing Team. Prepare and maintain up to date procedures, job aides, and checklists. What you will need to thrive in this role: In addition to your work and life experiences, as well as your passion and excitement for the profession, you would benefit from having: Education/Certifications: 3 years of experience in a business-related field preferred Current NMLS registration or can complete NMLS registration Skills/Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook Demonstrated knowledge of banking-related software Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, attorneys, co-workers, and management Strong mathematical and organizational skills; proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines In-depth knowledge of mortgage products and services as well as basic knowledge of current lending regulations Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods of time Ability to repetitively use a telephone, computer mouse, and keyboard for extended durations Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment Reasonable accommodation(s) will be provided as required by law to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. The salary range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour commensurate with experience and education.
