Job Description Senior Middleware Messaging Engineer Wilmington, DE Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Hybrid We are looking for a seasoned Senior Middleware Messaging Engineer with deep expertise in event-driven Architecture and middleware messaging technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the Architecture, design, and implementation of complex middleware and streaming-based integration solutions across the enterprise, including multi-datacenter, geo-distributed deployments that handle high-volume traffic with consistently high performance and resiliency Some of the things you will be doing: Lead the end-to-end Architecture and design of middleware messaging and streaming-based integration solutions Design and deploy messaging infrastructure across multiple geographic locations and data centers, ensuring low latency, data locality, and regional failover Evaluate, recommend, and implement the right messaging/streaming technologies based on business and technical requirements Drive EDA (Event-Driven Architecture) best practices across integration initiatives Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient, geo-distributed integration designs Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of messaging platforms under high-volume traffic conditions Design active-active and active-passive multi-datacenter topologies with automated failover and disaster recovery capabilities Define and enforce standards for deployment, monitoring, and operations of messaging infrastructure across all regions via automation Mentor and guide junior engineers on integration patterns, geo-distribution strategies, and best practices What technical skills, experience, and qualifications are required? Strong hands-on expertise in event-driven Architecture (EDA) and middleware messaging integration design patterns Proven experience with middleware messaging technologies including Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, and/or similar platforms Solid experience with streaming-based integrations (e.g., Kafka Streams, Stream Native, Red Panda or equivalent) Experienced in cloud-native messaging services (AWS SNS/SQS, Azure Service Bus, GCP Pub/Sub) and multi-region cloud deployments Experienced in containerized deployments (Kubernetes, Docker) for messaging platforms across multi-cluster, multi-region setups Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and deploying messaging platforms across multiple data centers and geographic regions Expertise in geo-replication, cross-datacenter mirroring, and regional routing strategies for messaging workloads Proven ability to Engineer solutions that sustain high message volumes with predictable, low-latency performance Demonstrated ability to design and deploy solutions with high availability (HA), fault tolerance, and redundancy Experience deploying and managing components in clustered environments Proficiency in designing for high-volume, low-latency, and resilient messaging Architectures 10-12 years of industry experience, with middleware messaging integration roles Nice to Have Implements and manage solutions across all environments using automation and infrastructure-as-code practices Hands-on experience integrating API Management platforms with middleware messaging systems Experience with observability platforms such as Elastic for monitoring and insights #CSC #CSCCareers #LI-HL1 About Us CSC is a global business, legal, and financial services company based in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, providing knowledge-based solutions to clients worldwide.
