Job Description
The Center Director for Early Childhood Education leads daily operations of early childhood programs with a balanced focus on curriculum development and operational management. This role oversees a medium-sized team to ensure high-quality education, regulatory compliance, and a safe, engaging environment. Reporting to the Associate or Executive Director, the Center Director supports center activities through weekly local travel and fosters strong family partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead program initiatives to ensure high-quality early childhood education
- Supervise and support a team of 16-25 staff members
- Oversee curriculum development aligned with compliance standards
- Engage families to build community partnerships
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain documentation
- Conduct ongoing staff training and professional development
- Manage facility operations to maintain a safe learning environment
- Implement quality assurance processes to improve program outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership experience in early childhood education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum development and staff supervision
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Expertise in family engagement and professional development
- Facility management proficiency
