Project Architect / Project Manager (Hospitality Projects)

Studio BANAA is looking for a Project Architect / Project Manager to lead hospitality and community-focused projects across the Bay Area. This is a hands‑on role in a small, design‑driven studio. You will be responsible for moving projects forward from early phases through permitting and construction, while contributing directly to drawings and coordination. Responsibilities Lead 2–4 projects at a time (restaurants, cafés, community spaces) Manage clients, consultants, and contractors Drive permitting and coordination with local agencies Produce and oversee drawing sets, including key plans and details Coordinate with structural, MEP, and specialty consultants Support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits) Qualifications 5–8 years of experience Strong permitting experience in California (Bay Area preferred) Proficient in Revit Comfortable leading client meetings and coordinating teams Organized, proactive, and able to work independently About the role This position sits between design and production. You’ll be expected to take ownership of projects while working closely with the principals and design team to carry ideas through to construction.
