Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery
• Preferred fellowship training in spine surgery
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Capability to handle a high volume of surgical cases and complex spine procedures
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
• Authorized to work in the United States

Key Responsibilities

Your typical day may involve:

• Conducting spine surgeries at Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital (103-bed facility) and Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital (537-bed, Level I trauma center)
• Engaging in multidisciplinary care for intricate neurosurgical and spine patients
• Collaborating with physician assistants, registered nurses, and other support staff to ensure exceptional patient care
• Utilizing cutting-edge technology such as O-Arm, Leica microscopes, stealth navigation, and CyberKnife
• Participating in quality improvement projects and clinical trials related to spine devices
• Fostering a culture of teamwork and mentorship within the neurosurgery department

Practice Support:

• 5 Physician Assistants handle first call
• 3 Registered Nurses assist with patient inquiries and wound care
• Projected surgical cases: 150 in the first year, approximately 300 once fully established
