Your responsibilities will include: Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases What qualifications you will need: Experience 2 years of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with demonstrated competency in multiple inpatient and outpatient surgical specialties Education Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program High school diploma or equivalent Licenses and Certifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy Benefits St. David's South Austin Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
