CRLS Global Studies Certificate Program Coordinator

Description Of Service Opportunity The CRLS Global Studies Certificate Program Coordinator will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks: Manage the website, which includes updating it with student work, global events, new global courses, international opportunities, and application materials. Recruit students to join the program through outreach to teachers, students, and parents and CPS media outlets. Research for and writing a weekly e‑newsletter for the students that includes journalism sources, local events, and global/multicultural opportunities. Research and contact guest speakers from across the globe to speak at Global Students Certificate Program monthly meetings. Organize and set agendas for the monthly meetings. Facilitate 1.5 hours long monthly meetings. Read through student program applications. Read through student events reflections and international experience journals. Field questions from students and parents on an ongoing basis. At the end of each term, provide the Dean of Curriculum Social Studies and the CRLS Principal with a formal update on the program. Minimum Requirements Current CRLS Social Studies teacher who has experience with the Global Studies Program. Length Of Contract September 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 Contract Amount Not exceed $5760.00 Additional Information Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate.
