Machine Operator

The Role Ready to build a real career in production? We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Setup Operator for our Laminate Department. You will support production and quality control by testing products, auditing finishes, and keeping our lines running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Quality Control: Perform routine visual inspections and in-process testing using calibrated gauges.

• Line Support: Assist with fast machine changeovers and clear equipment jams.

• Logistics: Create labels, pack boxes, and safely palletize products for shipment.

• Teamwork: Keep a clean 5S workspace and coordinate closely with mechanics.

What You Need

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Basic computer skills and great attention to detail.

• Ability to stand for 10+ hours and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Bonus: Previous production, packaging, or technician training.

Responsibilities

 Visually inspect tubes for defects (routine quality checks) and before packaging perform routine

quality checks
 Notify production mechanic and supervisor of defects found
 Transfer tubes from production line to boxes/pallets
 Create and make packaging labels as required
 Perform all Laminate and SPG in-process testing using QC test methods
 Report quality and packing issues to supervision
 Understand where safety mechanisms (E-stop, Guards, etc..) are located on auto packer.
 Make boxes as required.
 In feed cartons into auto packer
 Clear jams and start/stop auto packer as required
 Supply components to the line
 Keep area and equipment neat and organized as per a 5S environment
 Adhere to all company policies and procedures
 Other duties as required

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
