Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Position Overview


Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join a local team. This position involves installing and servicing low-voltage systems at commercial job sites, including schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and other commercial locations. The ideal candidate will have commercial low-voltage experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service low-voltage systems at commercial sites
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on low-voltage equipment
• Read and follow technical instructions and project requirements
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Work independently and with crew members to complete projects
• Travel to various job sites as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

Qualifications:

• Commercial low-voltage installation and maintenance experience required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and use tools throughout the shift
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors
• Ability to travel between job sites
• Ability to perform installation and service work in commercial environments

Additional Information:

• Travel between job sites is required
• Employee may ride with the crew or drive their own vehicle
• Mileage is paid for travel over 40 miles
