Your goal would be to help build highly scalable, performant and secure services in an environment with 5 9's availability and bank grade security.You will be part of a team of great engineers focusing on delivering quality products in the core e-sign, specifically the envelopes and recipients area, with a focus on the new msf services built to expand and modernize the system. You will be a do-er, focusing on the various complex and challenging problems while designing new features, using AI to improve productivity and workflows, implementing solutions for existing problems, building new solutions with product initiatives. You will also be working to increase scale and efficiency of the system.You are a hands-on technical expert who will guide and contribute to our development and operations teams to improve the creation of infrastructure solutions that scale with our rapid growth. As a successful senior engineer, you have a flexible attitude combined with an aptitude to learn and share. You are responsible not only for writing quality, scalable code. You enjoy working in a fast-paced agile environment, care about the team's decisions, and are focused on quality-driven development.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Software Engineering.ResponsibilityArchitect, implement and maintain some of Docusign's highest scale and highest used servicesDesign and build highly scalable database and service solutions for new featuresBuild the next set of features and Apis to make Docusign a true customer development platformWork with world class telemetry systems to work through complex problems and solve them with dataGuide and mentor other engineers through design and code reviewsDesign and architect with the future in mind. Think through how systems will scale and fail as they growTake complicated problems and break them down in to bite sized pieces, then ship every few weeks to get thereIdentify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase the teams productivity and efficiencyStay current with the latest development best practices and share your findings with the teamJob DesignationHybrid:Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasic8+ years of relevant professional software development experienceFluent in at least one core programming language (C#, Java) and its ecosystemExperience in designing, building, and maintaining complex, scalable distributed systemsOperational Experience in performance monitoring, live site monitoring and being On-callPreferredPractical experience in CosmosExperience in building or redesigning DB using PostGresQL on AzureExperience with AWS or AzureWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $164,700.00 - $266,000.00 base salaryWashington: $158,300.00 - $232,575.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
