ZUND / CNC Operator

Location: Newark, CaSchedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pmPay Rate: $20-$25/hrSUMMARY:Operates a Zund digital cutting machine and F&K Skiver to cut materials intodifferent shapes and sizes per exact specifications, in a timely manner.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Effectively run digital die cutting equipment (ZUND) to produce quality parts perspecifications.• Read and understand work orders and blueprints.• Visually inspect the parts throughout production for completeness, accuracy, anddefect to ensure conformity to specifications.• Troubleshoot basic machine problems, including the ZUND compressor, andperform preventative maintenance, i.e. change and calibrate blades, checkmoisture levels in air/oil/water separator, etc.• Program preset camera options and manually adjust cameras (brightness, hue,etc.) when a preset is not available.• Checks cut materials for non-conformance related issues.• Performs set up and adjustments of machine at beginning of each job/productionfile, as necessary.• Maximizes the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at availablecapacity and speed.• Adheres to production schedule. Reports any unusual issues to Supervisor such astime variances from estimated too actual.• Communicates production status, any mechanical and operational failures, anysafety incidents to the Supervisor.• Perform end of shift duties such as cleaning, dusting, replenishing inventory, anduse efficient housekeeping practices.• Maintains accurate inventory of needed supplies including blades, materials orother components and notify Supervisor of needed items.• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.• Cross train on other machines as needed.• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS:• Relatable CNC machine experience, minimum of one year.• Ability to work with minimal supervision.• Acute attention to detail, commitment to excellence and high standards.• Good communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet deadlines.• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changingpriorities with enthusiasm• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.COMPETENCIES:• Teamwork--Balances production team and individual responsibilities; Contributesto build a positive team; helps out where needed.• Quality--Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Applies feedback to improveperformance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.• Quantity--Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner.Strives to increase productivity.• Safety—Observes all safety procedures, Reports potentially unsafe conditions.use equipment and materials properly.• Adaptability--Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal withfrequent change, delays, or unexpected events.• Attendance/Punctuality--Is consistently at work and on time meeting 90% attendance.• Dependability--Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takesresponsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Completes tasks on time ornotifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:• Frequently required to stand• Frequently required to sit• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity• Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information,and/or use a keyboard• Frequently required to lift, push, and carry items up to 50 pounds• Continually work near moving mechanical parts• Continually exposed to loud noise• Specialized equipment machines used #J-18808-Ljbffr Staffing Network
