Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: AK RN License required, pending license accepted but must be obtained within 48 hours of signing Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and Advanced, NRP Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred or willing to train as charge - Ability to work weekends - every other weekend required - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs - Ability to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Description: L&D RN with pending license accepted. Must complete RN license application within 48 hours of signing. Must have AK RN license in hand for auto offer. Position primarily involves night shifts with the possibility of covering both nights and days. Charge experience is preferred, or willingness to train as charge is acceptable. High-risk labor and delivery unit with an average of 7 daily deliveries. Unit includes OB triage and antepartum patients. Daily census may involve up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk cases. Responsibilities include labor and delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation. Experience in administering blood products, assisting with deliveries, and managing complications is required. Knowledge of charting in Epic is necessary. All time off requests must be approved on an individual basis. Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Ability to adapt to the needs of the hospital is essential.
