Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage hectic workload while maintaining a friendly and personal demeanor
- Handle potentially delicate situations such as upset or emotional clients or collecting payment
- Maintain accurate patient records and be able to properly maintain files
- Ability to self-start during times when the office is slow
- Ability to remain flexible due to the somewhat unpredictable nature of job
- Computer experience is desired, but training will be provided for the computer system used at the office
- Type at least 45 WPM, familiarity with a keyboard
- Good vocabulary, grammar usage, accurate spelling
- Reliability and punctuality
- Good people skills and ability to get along with people of all backgrounds, patience with people and animals
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude
Experience, Education, and/or Training
- High school education required
- 1 to 2 years reception experience required
- Experience in a veterinary hospital or setting preferred
Salary and Benefits
- $19 -$24/hour depending on experience and skill
- PTO (accrual) in addition to CA Sick Time
