Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool

Schedule

This position is for a Night shift, working a 4x12 hour schedule from 18:30 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool. The nurse will primarily float between Medical-Surgical and Intermediate Care units, managing patients with a variety of critical conditions. Candidates must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 and have recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients experiencing acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, and other critical conditions.
• Monitor and manage patients in a floating capacity between MS units and IMC units.
• Administer IV medication, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, and provide post-operative care.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and patient management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Telemetry experience in a hospital setting.
• 2+ years of prior experience on an IMC unit required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Recent Med/Surg Tele experience is required.
• Experience in a float pool environment is preferred.
• Flu shot and a 2-step PPD are required - no exceptions.
