About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team across a high-volume OR environment supporting approximately 70-85 cases per day across 28 OR rooms operating 24/7/365
• Scrub into a broad range of service lines including orthopedics (total joints), general surgery, robotics, organ transplants (kidney), ENT, oral/maxillofacial, vascular/thoracic, urology, and pediatrics
• Support both adult and pediatric patient populations, including neonates
• Participate in team self-scheduling for shifts and call coverage, including weekend urgent and scheduled cases
• Document and navigate patient care using Epic EMR
• Rotate to night shifts and holidays as required by unit needs

• BLS certification required - must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Virginia state registration required and must be submitted at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of OR technician experience
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
• Must have completed at least 1-2 prior travel assignments; this cannot be a first travel assignment

• Neonate and pediatric surgical experience strongly preferred
• Trauma surgical experience beyond minimum requirement is a plus
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Experience scrubbing organ transplant or vascular/thoracic cases
