Cash Application Specialist

Salary: $78,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements:

• Experience with 3E legal accounting software is required.
• At least 2 years of cash application experience in a law firm or professional services organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong data-entry and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work, maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, manage information, analyze and solve problems, work in a team, and demonstrate professional integrity.
• An associates or bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Must pass a credit and background check as a condition of employment.
• Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and salary requirement.

• Apply incoming checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card payments to client accounts and invoices in line with our policies and procedures.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts and investigate payment application discrepancies.
• Work with our billing and client services departments to resolve unapplied or misapplied payments and make appropriate account adjustments.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, and team members as needed about payment details, remittance information, and account status.
• Process one-time credit card payments mailed by clients or emailed to accounts receivable.
• Send checks to the bank.
• Make client account adjustments as needed.
• Identify and recommend improvements to make our cash application workflows more efficient and accurate.
