Job Title : Houseperson

Department : Housekeeping

Reports To : Housekeeping Manager

Summary : A Houseperson is called to do many different tasks such as delivering guest items, stocking supplies for Room Attendants as well as being an overall go to person for laundry and public areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Moves and arranges furniture
• Turns mattresses
• Collects soiled linens for laundering, receives and stores linen supplies
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and other work areas
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies
• Washes and polishes walls, ceilings and woodwork
• Washes windows, door panels and sills
• Empties wastebaskets and empties removes trash
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area
• Replenishes supplies
• Replaces light bulbs
• Delivers guest amenities, ironing boards, baby cribs and rollaway beds to guest rooms
• Cleans and maintains vacuums, washers, dryers and vents
• Greet and acknowledge guests
• Perform other duties as assigned; including guest room tours, special guest requests, etc.
