Role Description The Mortgage Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Saddle Brook, NJ. The Mortgage Advisor will consult with clients to assess their financial profiles, goals, and lending needs, and recommend appropriate mortgage and financing solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed client interviews, reviewing financial documents, presenting loan options, and guiding clients through the application, underwriting, and closing processes. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with referral partners such as real estate agents, financial professionals, and attorneys, while staying current on market trends, lending guidelines, and product offerings. The Mortgage Advisor will also be responsible for providing ongoing client education, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term financial and wealth-building strategies. Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance and Investments, with the ability to interpret financial data and recommend appropriate lending strategies. Experience in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning, with skills in aligning mortgage solutions to broader long-term financial goals. Background in Financial Advisory, including client consultation, needs analysis, and tailored recommendation of loan products. Knowledge of conventional, jumbo, portfolio, non-QM and specialty mortgage programs, as well as HELOCs, second mortgages, and investment property financing. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a client-focused and ethical advisory approach. Ability to work in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services; NMLS license and relevant state licensing preferred.
