Dental Assistant

Job Title: Dental Assistant Company: Living Water Clinic-Clinica Agua Viva Location: Lindsay, California Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our dentists in providing high-quality patient care by assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Summary of Responsibilities Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR). Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA standards. Manage dental supply inventory and restock as needed. Schedule patient appointments and assist with front desk duties as necessary. Education & Certification High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Dental Assisting program required. Current Radiology Certification (X-ray license) in California required. CPR/BLS certification preferred. Prior Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant. Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR). Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures. Skills Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
