Dental Assistant

Job Details:

• part time position in San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes

Job description includes:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Proficient in digital dental X-ray.
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Perform dental charting and documentation.
• Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history.
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including passing instruments and materials to the dentist.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
• X-ray certification required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
