Job Title: Production Packaging Associate Job Description

This seasonal Production Packaging Associate role focuses on operating end-of-line packaging equipment in a high-speed chocolate manufacturing environment. You will work with machines that wrap and label bags of finished chocolate, perform visual inspections, and prepare products for shipment. This is a limited contract opportunity through the end of December, with potential for extension or permanent hire based on business demand and attendance.

• Operate end-of-line packaging machines that wrap and label bags of finished chocolate in a high-speed production environment.
• Perform consistent visual inspections of packaged chocolate to ensure quality, correct labeling, and proper sealing.
• Place inspected bags of chocolate into boxes in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Tape and seal boxes securely to prepare them for palletizing and shipment.
• Palletize finished boxes of product in an organized and stable manner for transport and storage.
• Lift and handle bags of product weighing between 1030 lbs as part of regular production duties.
• Maintain a steady work pace to support high-speed production requirements and meet daily output targets.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all site-specific hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
• Wear required protective garments, including gown, hairnet, and shoe covers, to maintain product safety and cleanliness.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris to support a safe and efficient production line.
• Communicate any equipment issues, product defects, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Support team members and adapt to changing production needs throughout the 12-hour shift schedule.

• At least 1 year of experience working in a high-speed production environment.
• At least 1 year of experience performing visual inspection in a production or similar setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Basic machine operation skills in a production or packaging environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Strong attention to detail for quality checks and visual inspections.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.

• Previous experience in food production or food manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with packaging lines and end-of-line equipment.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to support production schedules.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.

You will work in a clean, well-structured manufacturing environment that follows strong safety and quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in food production and machine operation while contributing to a recognizable consumer product. The seasonal contract provides consistent full-day shifts, and strong performance and attendance may create the possibility for extension or transition into a longer-term role.

This position is based in a chocolate manufacturing facility operating under strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The environment has a noticeable chocolate aroma and focuses on cleanliness, safety, and product quality. You will work on a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:15 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule, which includes a pattern of working and off days over a two-week period. The role involves standing for long periods, working around high-speed packaging machinery, and handling bags weighing 1030 lbs. Required attire includes a gown, hairnet, and shoe covers to maintain hygiene standards on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.

The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $18.70/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Kenosha,WI.
