The Perkins Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with College leadership, faculty and staff to assist in creating and supporting initiatives that lead to career readiness, attainment of degrees, certificates, and other industry-recognized credentials, for local populations as identified in Perkins guidelines, to succeed in high wage and high skill employment. The Coordinator also provides programmatic assistance, budgetary support, and technical assistance, working toward accomplishing the Perkins grant funding objectives in compliance with legal requirements.

What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For

This position is part-time and the primary work location will be remote with a home base of Rock Creek.

Minimum Qualifications: To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Education or related field. Experience performing the duties of this job substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.

• Three year(s) of experience writing grant proposals and reports, coordinating activities and teams to support a grant, and interpreting requests for proposals, reporting cycles and funding guidelines.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement

will be between Step 1 ($35.95 per hour) through Step 2 ($37.21 per hour) based on related experience. Placement at a higher step may be possible based upon additional experience and internal equity.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), you may view Portland Community College’s (PCC) most recent Annual Security Report (ASR) on the Department of Public Safety website. The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years. Paper copies of the ASR are available upon request at all Department of Public Safety offices.
