As a Seasonal Temporary Tile Setter, you play an important role in repairing, restoring, and maintaining tile and grout surfaces throughout the hotel and surrounding areas, ensuring our facilities remain polished, safe, and visually exceptional for every guest.Position Summary: The Seasonal Temporary Tile Setter is responsible for the repair, replacement, and maintenance of tile and grout surfaces throughout the property. This role supports the overall appearance and upkeep of the hotel by restoring damaged surfaces, ensuring water-resistant finishes, and maintaining high-quality craftsmanship standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical tile experience who takes pride in precision work, enjoys hands-on projects, and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments within a fast-paced hospitality setting.Essential Responsibilities:Remove and replace damaged tile, grout, and caulking in guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior locationsPrepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing substrates prior to installationCut, shape, and install tile using wet saws, grinders, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and alignmentMix and apply mortar, adhesives, grout, and sealants according to specificationsRepair and restore tile surfaces while carefully matching existing materials and finishesRemove old materials without damaging surrounding surfaces or structuresClean finished areas, remove excess materials, and ensure proper curing of grout and sealantsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized conditionFollow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipmentWork collaboratively with Engineering and Facilities teams to complete assigned projectsPerform work in guest-facing and outdoor areas while maintaining a professional appearance and attitudeComplete additional maintenance and repair tasks assignedQualifications:3–5 years of experience as a tile setter, installer, or maintenance technicianStrong technical knowledge of tile installation, grout work, and surface repair techniquesAbility to read measurements, layouts, and basic blueprints or specificationsSkilled in use of tile-setting tools including wet saws, trowels, grinders, and grout floatsStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanshipAbility to work in both indoor and outdoor environmentsPhysically able to lift, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periodsDependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a teamFlexibility to work varying schedules based on project needsOur Culture: We believe in "People First and Guests Always."
