Prep Cook Production Operator (Encinitas)
Behind every great pizza is a perfectly crafted dough ball. That's where you come in.
Our award-winning restaurant client's operations all starts with the dough. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cook Production Operator to join our team and help keep the foundation of our product consistent, high-quality, and ready to perform.
If you take pride in precision, enjoy hands-on work, and want to be part of a fast-paced kitchen operation, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and portion dough according to company recipes and standards
- Operate mixers and production equipment safely and efficiently
- Scale, weigh, and form dough balls with consistency and accuracy
- Follow production schedules to meet daily and weekly volume needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep and production area
- Monitor dough quality, texture, and proofing standards
- Label, store, and rotate product following food safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory and ingredient tracking
What You Bring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Reliability and punctuality—this role is critical to daily operations
- Basic math skills for measuring and scaling recipes
- Ability to follow systems, processes, and checklists
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Food production or kitchen experience is a plus (but not required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts as needed
