Scheduling Manager

POSITION SUMMARYThe Scheduling Manager will assist project teams in developing, tracking and updating schedules from inception to completion of the project. The Scheduling Manager will also work with the Scheduling team to enhance overall business flow.RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and develop direct reports within the scheduling department.Communicate effectively with all field staff members, scheduling consultant and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updatesMeet with Subcontractors as required in development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedulesIdentify and communicate significant schedule risks to Staff and appropriate Division personnelDevelop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project staff to facilitate development of the project schedule.Analyze schedule, budget and/or resource variances from the baseline planForecast impacts of variances to aid in the management of the scheduleAbility to use the cost-loaded schedule as the basis of billingsUtilize Primavera P6 scheduling software to update and document schedule performanceMonitor and status schedule progressAnalyze impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. through the use of schedule fragnets and TIAs.Implement controls to avoid claimsInteract with scheduling consultant in schedule reviews, claims analysis, etc. Perform cash flow projections / analysis on a monthly basisPerform manpower projections / analysisParticipate in Division training seminarsTrain/Lead classes and facilitate learning of the scheduling systems amongst the project staffQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in construction management or engineering required or equivalent years of experience in Scheduling8+ years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry requiredExperience developing construction project schedules for large scale projects (100M+) requiredProficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing and reporting on project schedules requiredExperience scheduling with Primavera P6 requiredMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status. For Southern California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $130,000-175,000. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation.
