Senior Network Engineer Full Time - Information Technology Job Category : Technical/Spec Sal Requisition Number : SENIO003387 Full-Time On-site Salary Range : $92,102.40 USD to $135,408 USD Locations Memorial Hospital of Gardena Gardena, CA 90247, USA Description Job Summary: The Senior Network Engineer position focuses on the intersection of enterprise connectivity and regulatory compliance for the healthcare IT systems. They are responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on architecture, security, and automation. Beyond standard networking, this role is critical for ensuring that the hospital clinical, financial, and operational systems remain accessible and secure. Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication. Essential Functions Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructure that directly supports healthcare business software in complex, multi-site medical environments. Design, install, and configure network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Ensure all network architecture aligns with industry standards like HIPAA and HITRUST. Configure and maintain wired and wireless connectivity for seamless system integration. Implement zero-trust architectures and segmentation strategies to isolate sensitive and protected data and systems from general guest or administrative traffic. Maintain critical infrastructure (servers, security appliances, telephony) to ensure system availability 24/7 to support hospital business operations. Benchmark, analyze reports on and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Implement and maintain firewalls and VPNs. Lead the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on departmental needs. Create network diagrams and maintain updated real-time documentation. Qualifications/Experience Minimum of seven (7) years of IT system experience required including but not limited to designing, implementing and supporting enterprise routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare specific experience required. Strong knowledge of multi-platform systems, virtual environments, and centralized storage. Strong knowledge of local area network administration. Proficiency in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SD-WAN and hybrid cloud environments. Experience supporting or integrating with colocation and datacenter environments, including cross-connects, circuit provisioning, and coordination with datacenter providers. Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting of complete routing and network security controls. Education Bachelors or better in Computer Science. Bachelors or better in Information Technology.
