Associate Veterinarian
Alliance Animal Health
Company Description Associate Veterinarian - Indian Rocks Beach Animal Hospital (Largo, FL) Live where other people vacation. Practice where the flip-flops outnumber the closed-toe shoes. Indian Rocks Beach Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our growing 2 doctor veterinarian team in Largo, FL - just minutes from the white sand and turquoise water of the Gulf Coast. If you're an established DVM looking for a change of scenery (literally), a supportive team, and a caseload that keeps you sharp without burning you out, keep reading. Why Indian Rocks Beach? This isn't just a job posting line - people genuinely plan vacations around this town, and you'd get to live here.
- Nearly 3 miles of walkable Gulf Coast beach , with 27 public beach access points, soft sand, and some of the best sunsets in Florida - most nights end with the sky doing something ridiculous over the water.
- A golf-cart, bike, and flip-flop kind of town. The beach sand is firm enough for cycling, and it's the kind of place where you'll actually run into your clients (and their pets) at the coffee shop.
- Actual wildlife commutes. The Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve has a boardwalk through mangrove wetlands with intracoastal views - and yes, there's a dog park. The nearby "Turtle Park" has turtle ponds, birds of prey, and shaded trails if you need a decompress-after-a-tough-appointment walk.
- 100 acres of free botanical bliss at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, right next door, plus historic Heritage Village if you're into old Florida charm.
- Water, water everywhere. Kayaking, paddleboarding, deep-sea fishing charters, dolphin-watching tours, and John's Pass are all a short drive away.
- Centrally located for more exploring. Clearwater Beach to the north, St. Pete Beach to the south, and Tampa's restaurants, breweries, and sports scene less than an hour away.
- Genuinely easy to get to. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is close, and Tampa International isn't far either - handy for visiting family or getting away.
- Full- or part-time schedule available - tell us what work-life balance looks like for you
- Competitive salary + production, relocation assistance, and a full benefits package
- No on-call/emergency requirement - go enjoy that sunset
- DVM degree and active Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain one)
- 2+ years of clinical small animal experience preferred
- Strong surgical and diagnostic skills, and a genuine love of client communication
- Someone who wants to put down roots on the Gulf Coast (or at least give it a few great years)
