Electrical Project Manager

The Project Manager 3 supports Enterprise Electrical's operations by leading commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The Project Manager 3 serves as a primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and trade partners, while providing leadership, oversight, and accountability across all phases of project execution. Enterprise Electrical is a fast-growing commercial electrical contractor based in Houston, Texas, specializing in design build projects. Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following Assume primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with internal teams and project personnel Evaluate contractual scope of work and establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with Enterprise Electrical guidelines Plan, organize, and staff key project positions through coordination with superintendents and subordinate project management staff Initiate and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors Negotiate, prepare, and issue purchase order and subcontracts Monitor and control construction progress through administrative oversight of on site supervision Develop, issue, and maintain master project schedules to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget Manage all financial aspects of projects including cost control, billings, collections, profitability, and cash flow Identify and manage project risks by proactively addressing issues and implementing corrective actions as needed Ensure all project documentation and controls comply with contract requirements and Enterprise Electrical standards Supervise and mentor other project managers and assistant project managers when assigned Perform additional responsibilities as directed by leadership or as project needs require Associated Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, accuracy, and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations and implement effective solutions Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, field leadership, and internal stakeholders Skill in managing conflict and addressing issues proactively to maintain positive working relationships Ability to interpret construction documents, contracts, drawings, and specifications Strong financial acumen with the ability to track budgets, forecasts, and project performance Ability to mentor and develop team members through guidance, feedback, and accountability Capacity to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines and project milestones Ability to uphold and model Enterprise Electrical's core values in all interactions Enterprise Electrical's Core Values & Purpose To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following Enterprise Electrical core values Safety First, Safety Always (Safety) Committed to Excellence (Greatness) Plan it, Do it, Own it (Accountability) Learn it, Know it, Teach it (Mentorship) One Team, One Goal (Teamwork) Positive Attitude Required (Positivity) Our Core Purpose Building Relationships to Enrich Lives License/Certification Preferred: Journeyman's License, Working Knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements Office based with regular presence on active construction sites Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs, and navigate commercial construction environments Occasional extended hours may be required based on project demands Equipment or Machines Routinely Used in This Position Computer, project management software, scheduling tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard office equipment Requirements Bachelor's degree; or 5 years of previous experience in construction, finance, or project management At least 5 years of experience in electrical project management, ideally within mission critical environments; managing projects ranging from $500,000 to $3,000,000 Proven track record managing large-scale electrical projects. Strong understanding of electrical design, installation practices, and NEC codes. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are a must. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders. Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project). Certifications such as PMP or equivalent are a plus Willingness to travel for project needs, with potential long periods on-site.
